New Year, New Blog! Congratulations to all the newly engaged couples! Typically this is my busiest time of year to manage phone calls and leads for the newly engaged. Starting this 8th year of business I am blessed to have two people helping me. It is a good feeling to know that they are there so I can focus on the new direction that the organization is taking.

This year we are planning a busy Valentine’s weekend and looking forward to the new event planning services that we are developing…look for some packages for some simple wedding ceremonies coming soon! We also now have two male Officiants on the staff, now that’s some powerful male energy! I personally am planning to get into the DC market and the same sex wedding market, which will be a lot of fun!

Looking forward to the many bridal shows coming up, Linganore Winery, Turf Valley, Green Spring Ridge Golf Course, the Tidewater Inn and Historic Oakland, including many others.

Again we have won an award, the 2011 Hot List Award from Momentville, for great reviews from our wonderful clients. Whoo Hoo! It is so exciting! It makes my personal issues; recovering from knee surgery and working full-time less stressful. I am however, slowly working my way back to walking without a limp, riding my new bike and dancing.  We are also listed in the Strong Mansion’s new brochure, which will provide couples with some great vendors to choose from.

So as this New Year begins, I am hopeful! I have love in my life, I am more secure in my future and I am excited to meet lots of newly engaged couples and officiate lots of weddings this year.
